MHD is please to announce the addition of the March Challenge Tournament to our 2012 schedule. The event will feature Tier 2 (Travel A) teams in a 5 game guarantee format. Divisions will include Squirts, Peewees and Bantams with game lengths of 1 1/4hr. MVP medals for each team every game and Gold, Silver and Bronze medal matches.

The event is USA Hockey Sanctioned and open to Tier 2 (Travel A)  teams and Hockey Canada equivalent clubs.

Dates: March 16,17,18
Venues: Portland Ice arena, USM Gorham

Maine Hockey Development is honored to assist Jeff Keacher in his "STOPPING IN EVERY STATE"  hockey quest. Jeff has taken on what many would consider to be a lifelong dream to travel to every State and Canadian Province and play hockey at each. Since his quest began in June 2011 he has logged games in 24 states, 8 Provinces and 1 territory while traveling more than 20,000 miles.

It is through our contact with Atlantic Hockey Group and Sackville Nova Scotia youth hockey coach and friend Todd Bechard  that we are able to participate and assist Jeff in achieving his quest.

MHD has arranged with Dave Duplissis, of the long standing Lewiston Cardiac league, to help Jeff move 1 step closer to realizing his dream by achieving his Maine game on Thursday night October 20th at Lewistons AB Colisee.
